Win Cash for Christmas 2024 Competition 'Scan to Win' Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you, the entrant ("you", "your(s)", "entrant(s)"), the Promoter and the Retailer (both defined below) in relation to the Promotion and shall prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions and by participating all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

1. The Promoter: Unilever UK Limited, Lever House, 3 St James Road, Kingston Upon Thames, United Kingdom, KT1 2BA. The promoter is responsible for administering the scan-to-win element of the Promotion and for conducting the prize draw.

2. The Retailer: ASDA Ltd. Asda House, South Bank, Great Wilson Street, Leeds, LS11 5AD. The Retailer is responsible for placing the Promotion Material in stores.

3. The Supplier: Unilever UK Limited, Lever House, 3 St James Road, Kingston Upon Thames, United Kingdom, KT1 2BA

4. The Promoter, the Retailer and the Supplier, together referred to as the "Promotion Entities".

5. Eligibility:

a. This Promotion is open to UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 years or over who: (a) have a mobile phone with scan capabilities, (b) internet access (to enter the competition), email address, and a valid UK bank account to receive their prize should they be a winner.

b. The following are not eligible to enter this Promotion: employees and their immediate families of the Promotion Entities, associated agents or anyone professionally connected with this Promotion, including without limitation, advertising agencies, PR, prize suppliers and legal advisors. In these Terms and Conditions, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner or spouse members of such employees or of anyone with whom such employees are domiciled.

6. Promotional Period: This Promotion opens at 00:01 BST on 03.10.2024 and closes at 23:59 GMT on 30.10.2024. Entries received outside the Promotional Period shall not be valid for entry into this Promotion.

  1. Entry Instructions:

Entrants will need to purchase a Qualifying Product, during the Promotional Period. A Qualifying Product is at least one product from Persil, Surf, Comfort, Domestos & Cif (excluding Washing Up Liquid) from UK ASDA stores or on ASDA.com. They will need to keep a digital photograph of the till receipt for in store purchases or a copy of their ASDA.com receipt for ASDA.com purchases.

a. Entry is via the Comfort website https://www.comfortworld.co.uk/asda-homecare-win-cash-for-christmas.html. Entrants can scan the QR code on display packaging in UK ASDA stores (“Promotional material”) using a mobile device or visit the Comfort website and complete the sign-up form. Entrant must fill in their first name, last name and email address. The form must be completed during the Promotional Period.

b. Entrants who purchased the Qualifying Product in store will need to upload a digital photograph of the till receipt (for in store purchases) or the ASDA.com receipt (for online purchases) of the Qualifying Product purchased into the form for the entry to be valid.

c. Entrants must agree to the Terms and Conditions whereby they consent to their personal data being shared with the Promoter and a 3rd party agency for prize fulfilment purposes only.

7. Entry Requirements

8. The promotion is limited to one entry per person and per email address. Prizes are limited to one per household.

9. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

10. By participating in this promotion, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this promotion (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

11. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

12. Prizes: There are 100 prizes of £150 to be won in total during the Promotional Period. There will be 100 winners each of whom will win £150.

13. Only one entry per person per household and per email address during the Promotional Period. Any use by entrants of identities other than their own to enter this Promotion will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void. The Promoter reserves the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether an entrant has already submitted an entry and to disqualify any subsequent entries or prize entitlement.

14. Selection of Winners: All valid entries received on or before the closing date will be entered into draw technology. The first 100 entries drawn at random will win £150 as outlined in clause 13. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Promotor is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promotor reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative of equal or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into.

15. Winner notification: Winners will be notified by email from unilevercustomercare@unileverconsumerlink.co.uk within 7 days of the closing date. The winner must claim their prize by responding to the email confirming their first name, last name, email address and all necessary information for fulfilment purposes within 7 days of the notification. They will receive a secure link to upload their bank details to receive the prize. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promotor reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the Promotion rules. Once the winner has accepted the prize, they will receive a second email from unilevercustomercare@unileverconsumerlink.co.uk with a secure link to a form to fill out their bank details. Once the winner submits this form, they will receive the prize via bank transfer within 5 working days.

16. General Terms

17. By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

18. The Promoter may publish information that confirms that the award of prizes took place. The winners’ details (surname) will be made available on request to those by emailing unilevercustomercare@unileverconsumerlink.co.uk within ten weeks after the closing date. Winners have the right to object to disclosure of their details and they can notify the Promoter if they do not wish for this information to be published by responding within 7 calendar days to the email informing them that they are a winner. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.

19. Entrants’ personal data will be processed for the purpose of administering this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by its agents. Entrant’s details will not be passed onto other third party for any other purpose without prior consent. Entrants' personal data will be processed in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy, available at https://www.unilevernotices.com/privacy-notices/united-kingdom-english.html

20. These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues.
